   White Carrara Marble

Carrara marble gets the name from the city Carrara in Italy. The city is famous for the white or blue-gray marble stones. Marble stones are capable of taking a high polish. Carrera marble tiles have been used since the time of Ancient Rome. Today estimating total excavable marble field of Carrara surface area of 60 square kilometers and a volume of 60,000 million cubic metres.White marble also known as crystalline limestone. Intense heat and pressure in the earth's crust cause to limestone into marble.

Different temperatures and other variables things such as water and minerals can occur the color or general quality of the marble. Impurities inside the stone like different minerals give marble a wide variety of colors. For example, pure calcite marble gives white color, marble with hematite gives a reddish color, white marble with limonite is yellow, and marble containing serpentine is green. Although marble is softer and less durable than granite, it is widely used for almost any job. Beautifully veined and clouded marble is used to add sophisticate anything anywhere.

White carrara marble tile is widely used for flooring and wall coverings in kitchen, bathroom and other places in our house.

Some stones are more popular then others. But it doesn't mean that well known stones are better than other type of marbles. For example crema marfil is a very well known marble tiles from Spain. Very similar creamy beige color another marble tile named Bursa beige from Turkey is not that popular. Tile So the quality is same but Bursa beige much cheaper then crema marfil.
